Dear Uncle, I will try and answer your kind and welcome letter that I received some time ago and was glad to hear from you.
We are having affle bad weather here now. It rains all most all the time here. I am so tired of rain I don’t know what to do.
I suppose you had a nice time the forth didn’t you. I had a fly time. I went to Weldon.
Kate is to home now. She is going to stay a bout two weeks I guess.
Ida is not at home. Her and Cassie went out to Tingley last Saturday and they haven’t got back yet.
Logan as you call him he is here now but he has been out west. He went out to Montana in March and he just came home the last of June. Luther is staying at home this summer. Oney every body is getting married here. They isn’t a girl hardly that isn’t married.
Elmer you know them hankerchief that Uncle Ambrose Arney got while he was in Chicago. You know what kind he go(t) me, a pure white one. It was silk embroidered with white silk thread and I want you to get me one just like the one I have and be sure and get it. Don’t for get it. I want you to send it to me as soon as get my letter for I want it rite a way. Send it in your letter. Be sure and send it rite a way for I want it just as soon as I can get it. I will pay you what ever it costs and I will send the money to you.
