Elmer And Martha Delk
Dear Nephew and Niece,
I recently received a few lines from you enclosed in Uncle Geo. Letter which I appreciated very highly as it proves to me while I am in while in this lonely condition. I am now entirely left alone except friends that come in to see me. I board with my son John who lives about 100 steps from me. Some of the children come of nights to stay with me. Your aunt has left me but I thank God that she left in the (?) of a living faith. I know that she can never return to me yet if I live as she has lived I can go to her.
I have written at some length Uncle Geo. You can of the facts his letter. I am so torn up both physically mentally that it is with difficulty that I write at all. Please excuse this scribling as it the best I can do at this time. My descendent are all of them in their usual health at this time.
F. O. Delk is fair health.
Give your father and mother my regards.
May God bless you all,
Yours truly.
